July 7th, 2005 Feeling Good After Chemo

Another chemo under my belt and I feel great!

I’m not really experiencing any side effects.  Yesterday after my treatment, I went home and slept for the rest of the day.  The Benadryl really did me in, but the great news is that I had no urge to puke.  Normally after getting a dose of Adriamicin, I feel groggy and very fatigued the next day.  The Taxol, however, doesn’t make me feel that way at all!

I still have to keep up with my usual routine of getting a Neulasta shot to help boost my white blood cells.  But, thankfully, I don’t feel any numbness in my fingers or toes.

So, things seem to be going smoothly for the moment.  The fact that I’m more than half way through my chemo is getting me pretty excited.  The road to get to this point has been long and arduous, but there is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel now!
